The deadline for filing to run for the two open spots on the Brown County school board is less than a week away.
The deadline to be placed on the ballot is Friday, Aug. 24 at noon.
To date, just one person has filed: Sandra Richardson of Artist Drive in Nashville.
The open seats are currently held by Connie Weddle and Teresa Waltman.
Brown County Clerk Beth Mulry said the two highest vote-getters from different districts will win the elected positions.
Other members of the five-member, bipartisan board are Judy Hardwick, Carol Bowden and John Mills.
